Philadelphia

Alumnae Chapter

About Us

The Pi Pi alumnae chapter of Alpha Chi Omega was installed on April 6, 1923 at the University of Pennsylvania by 20 charter members from the Alpha Epsilon (University of Pennsylvania), Beta (Albion College), and Lambda (Syracuse University) chapters.  The chapter was an outgrowth of the Philadelphia Alumnae Club of Alpha Epsilon that was founded in February 1921.  In 1926, Pi Pi purchased a 3 story house for the Alpha Epsilon collegiate chapter.  According to the History of Alpha Chi Omega, it was their Hera Day tradition to distribute toys in the children's ward of Germantown Hospital.

Today, Pi Pi is a diverse group of women of all ages from the Philadelphia and Eastern NJ region. Our sisters work in higher education, clinical research, education, law, pharmaceuticals, finance, and more. If you're a sister who's just relocated to the area or an alumna who'd like to become more involved in the chapter, please subscribe to our newsletter below and join us for some great events and sisterhood programs. If you are a potential alumnae initiate, welcome! Information on our alumnae initiate program can be found online here

Volunteering

The Pi Pi chapter can always use assistance in various ways. If you are interested in gaining more leadership experience, joining the executive board is a great way to do so! We are also seeking advisory board members who are willing to work remotely or in person with our collegiate chapters. If you don't have the time to commit, we always welcome sisters who want to plan and host events. Contact us below if you want to get more involved!
